Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has now overtaken Kapil Dev as India’s third leading wicket-taker in international cricket. India will not be playing as many Test matches this year due to the ODI World Cup coming up, and Ashwin as it stands, is not a part of the 50-over setup.

Although Ashwin achieved great success in the longest format, registering 466 wickets in 91 Tests, he has not translated similar dominance in other formats.
